Internet Marketing – Building Business

Internet Marketing – Building Business

Internet Marketing comes in many flavors though many people do not realize that they are in effect Internet Marketers.

Though the scope of this article and following related articles is about Internet Marketing methods of building business, many of these methods can be applied to other types of Internet Marketing as well.

Some types of Internet Marketing but not limited to those below that people do not consider themselves as being Internet Marketers but they really are:

Social Networks – used for both self promotion and business.

Web Sites – anyone with a web site is an Internet Marketer.

Web Page – anyone with a web page is an Internet Marketer even if it is a personal page.

Blogs – this can be once again Marketing of one self or business.

Comments on Blogs or anywhere on the web – this is marketing of usually personal opinion.

YouTube – Once again this can be personal marketing or business marketing.

Email – this is a super multi purpose way of marketing both oneself and business marketing. However, great care should be taken not to be spamming people or sending unsolicited email in any way, shape, or form.

Of course there are many more then those listed above. However, almost anyone interacting with the Internet is an Internet Marketer – they just do not know it or recognize it as Internet Marketing.

Now that we have an idea of whom Internet Marketers are lets talk about some of the methods that are used for marketing and promotion for both Business and other forms of Internet Marketing:

Search Engines – by far the most common method used and relied upon for marketing – in many ways passive since we rely on the search engines to work their magic i.e. crawling, indexing, etc. and Active in respect to we can do search engine URL submissions and of course fine tuning commonly known as SEO (search engine optimization) i.e. titles, domain names, keywords, etc.

PPC (Pay Per Click) – this is just what it sounds like where the advertiser pays for it’s advertisement/promotion to be shown on other peoples/businesses web sites and the advertiser is charged per click on their ad which normally directs the clicker to advertisers web site or offer. This method should be used with caution and can be quite costly.

CPA (Cost Per Action) – this is similar to Pay Per Click but a lot more effective in cost management if used correctly. The action could be for signups to a list, purchases, or many other possible actions.

Affiliate Programs – having your own affiliate program can greatly increase sales but you must be willing to share in the sale price. This can be similarly cost effective since affiliates are paid similar to CPA the action being sharing part of the sale in this case.

List Building – One of our personally favorite ways of marketing due to a list can be easily targeted to a certain niche, you can email the client legally over and over again with targeted promotions. We also find this one of the most cost effective ways to promote business. There are many ways to do list building from opt in boxes on your web sites to our favorite – Giveaway Events – and this will be our next article appearing exclusively here on Bukisa :-)

Email – this is a great and common way to build your business, sales and very effective when combined with list building

Social Networks – this seems to be a little more tricky and for us has not yet been near as effective as any of the above methods have been.

To YOUR success!
